I have t agree that it’s a bit pessimistic.

I’m not one to tell people that affiliate marketing is easy but with the right drive and determination you really can make is and an affiliate market.

In fact I think the biggest reason people fail is because they jump from one approach to another expecting results overnight. This business requires some sustained focus, but if you can do the the rewards are substantial indeed.

I’m been teaching a pretty comprehensive free affiliate marketing course where many people have learned affiliate marketing and reported to me that they finally cracked the code and that it’s not some secret technique but rather a quality about them selves that comes within that has eventually taken them over the top.

I think people have to high expectations to begin with and they don’t treat it like a real business. It is the same as if you were opening a corner store, you would spend alot of time and effort to get things working right and it is the same with affiliate marketing.

As more and more people get into affiliate marketing it also becomes much harder to succeed as the “oldies” begin to cement their place in your niche.

I have had moderate success doing affiliate marketing. I had one successful site that got the rug jerked out from under it, one dismal failure, and am now working on my third.

While it is tempting to think I’m going to get rich quickly, this post is very realistic that it could very well never happen.

A quick note about posting style, I think you might benefit from breaking your posts down into some bullet points or lists. Alternatively, having bold sub headers could make it a lot easier to pick up they key points.
