The eating 5 meals a day is a really good one. I have always been slim, but still had that lower abdomen bulge that most people have. By eating 5 meals a day and regularly doing aerobic exercise I’m now pretty flat.

Here is another cool tip which i have got on another blog, Don’t stuff your fridge with high fat, high sugar and high calories diet. I think that is the simplest way to eat a lot of low fat, low calories, and low sugar diet. We just need to manage our fridge and we shall be loosing a lot of weight.

Water is the most effective thing in loosing weight and I have experimented that personally. I still drink a lot of water even after loosing my weight. Believe me, water is very effective on many other diseases.

I believe #1 to be one of the most important as eating smaller meals more frequently keeps your body burning the food. While it may seem like you are eating more you are really eating the same amount or less. But while you are doing that your body is constantly trying to keep up by burning the food to give you energy.
Drinking a lot of water is another great tip! It is probably one of the hardest things to stick with when you first start out. I remember when I first started out that it was so hard for me to constantly drink endless amounts of water. But after about a month and a half I was drinking it like nothing. It is just one of those things that your body has to adjust to and when it does, it makes doing it a whole lot easier.

I’ll add a couple thoughts, things that have helped me lose weight. Don’t eat anything else after dinner. This assumes that your dinner is no later than, say, 7PM. Also, take a day off from dieting (if that is what you are doing). Pig out, eat junk – this will throw your metabolism off so it doesn’t get used to eating the same thing.

Some good tips there. Certainly drinking lots of water has other additional benefits to health, apart from the obvious hydrating qualities it can improve kidney performance which helps with urination and flushing toxins from the body.
The 'don't punish yourself' message is key. It is all too easy to beat oneself up for perceived failures. Set realistic goals and stick to them. Keep a food diary and log the calorific intake and types of food consumed. This helps to track progress.
Don't give up breakfast if you are doing regular exercise in morning. If need just take very light breakfast before starting exercise.

The key to success in my opinion is nutrition knowledge. Most of the people just don't know what actually makes them fat. I am trying out a weight loss meal plan at the moment and I have to say that I feel great because I don't have to starve.
nice article, i used to weigh over 127 kilos and i have to say i did try diet pills but they did not work and i tried lots of different diets and i did punish myself, i hated the way i looked so i felt like i could not eat anything so they never worked but i have to say i now weigh under 95 kilos and the best thing is it is toned muscle now, i now have ripped abs which i never ever thought i would ever have.

Your point #2 (drink a lot of water) is new for me so I will include it in my daily meals. I used to have problem with my belly fat and thought that lower abs workout alone will help me lose weight but I proved it wrong, there are other exercises that are more important to burn the fat off. I also agree that we have to follow a weight loss treatment for better result.
I guess that most people reading this blog wll be too young to remember Charles Atlas and his famous '7 stone weakling' adverts. This was the guy who couldn't impress the girls because all the other boys were bigger, stronger and looked more healthy…and the advert always showed him getting sand kicked in his face while on the beach. Well, the '7 stone weakling' discovered a secret – 'Dynamic Tension' – and by the end of the advert he was the biggest, strongest and healthiest-looking of the lot. The reason I mention this is that the real-life Charles Atlas built himself an enviable body by using various sets of muscles working against other muscles. It was weight training but without the weights – and he didn't have an ounce of fat on his body!
So what's my point? My point is that yes,you need to be eating correctly but you need to build muscle too because it's muscle that eats fat best – and ladies you don't have to end up looking like Charles Atlas, just make sure that the yo-yo diets you tend to use don't just strip your muscles and fluids. It's not about losing weight…it's about losing fat.

I disagree. I think you should exercise intensely, not moderately, that's the only way to get real results. Moderate exercise and this kind of thinking got America where it is right now because it promotes laziness. If you really want to lose weight, get a free diet plan but especially work hard at the gym, that's how you do it.

I've found that I definitely lose weight when I eat more throughout the day. The trick is to eat healthy whole foods, no processed.

What ever you decide to do make it fun. If you torture yourself by overdoing it you will quit for sure. Have fun. Jog with your dog, play basketball, go swimming, take a walk around the park. Change up your routine everyday and make it fun to move your body.
