If you are interested in the interview process at Google, Peteris Krumins posted a detailed report on his experience, which involved 4 interviews over the phone and then flying from Latvia to California (expenses paid) for 4 interviews at the Googleplex.

I had once attended a Google interview. I had 4 rounds of interviews in the Google India HQ and it was really good. They did not hurry or insult my time or experience. An all expenses paid trip was icing on the cake. Yet after all this I couldn’t attend the final phone interview after reaching my home town. But nice experience though.
