Weak Password Brings ‘Happiness’ to Twitter Hacker

The hacker, who goes by the handle GMZ, told Threat Level on Tuesday he gained entry to Twitter‘s administrative control panel by pointing an automated password-guesser at a popular user’s account. The user turned out to be a member of Twitter’s support staff, who’d chosen the weak password “happiness.”
Cracking the site was easy, because Twitter allowed an unlimited number of rapid-fire log-in attempts.
He also posted a video he made of his hack to prove he had administrative access to Twitter. Watch it below..

The basic rule is that someone else should never be able to guess your password, use words and phrases that are easy for you to remember, but impossible for others to guess.Combine numbers, letters and symbols to have a greater variety of characters.A password should also be changed periodically.

do you keep all your passwords the same for all sites? if you do then you could have big problems if someone hacks one of your passwords.
my old wordpress site got hacked loads, until i upgraded to the latest version.
