Obama Renovates WhiteHouse.gov

Before Barack Obama even finished taking the oath of office, the White House site switched over to the Obama administration’s version. Macon Phillips, who identified himself as the director of new media for the White House, wrote a post describing the features of the new site.

He promised more “timely and in-depth content ” about the administration’s policies, including blogs and e-mail alerts. Check out the briefing room, the blog (RSS feed) and take a moment to sign up for e-mail updates from the President and his administration so you can be sure to know about major announcements and decisions.

    I saw a television advertisement yesterday about volunteering that headlined the new header picture you feature above and of course the White House web address.

    i like the new look, i think keeping on top of technology is important for the administration and it helps keep the citizens informed of what’s going on, the old site wasn’t bad but i think i only went there once during the past 8 years
