Super Mario Galaxy 2 coming to Wii
Mario teams up with his old pal Yoshi once again in Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Wii.
Nintendo wrapped up its E3 press conference a few days ago and one of the new games that was announced, by the reveal of its trailer, is a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy, the 2007 game that marked the iconic mascot character’s first adventure on Wii, titled Super Mario Galaxy 2 Wii.
The much anticipated game will feature new worlds, while this time, Mario will get some help from Yoshi, the green little dinosaur from previous Mario games. Although there are not many specific details on the game, the graphics are expected to look slightly improved from the first title, but as they say it will be much more of the same Mario Galaxy goodness.
The new Mario game is expected to hit the stores, sometime in 2010, so until then we ‘re sure that there is going to be much more information on the game storyline, as well as on some technical specifications.
The good news for Mario fans around the world spread really fast and most of them already started making predictions about the new game, while many others expressed their thoughts about it, asking from the creators of the game to develop the previously centered around Rosalina and the adorable Lumas game plot. Miyamoto on the other hand, the Japanese video game designer and producer of Mario , in an interview with Wired.com at E3 2009, said that he’s not a fan of putting story into Mario titles, and therefore he’s going to keep the storyline of Mario Galaxy 2 to a bare minimum, fact that we ‘re sure will disappoint many Mario-maniacs out there.
Another thought that has been extensively indicated and surprised us, is to make the game a bit more difficult in order to last longer. This of course, shows the huge love that the players have about this game.

Wow Mario is still going strong after all these years. I grew up with Super Mario NES games and I wouldn’t be surprised if by the time I’m 60 they’re still coming out with new Mario games…
