Listia is a newly launched (August 2009) startup and I have to admit that I already love it. It’s a really smart way to give away and get stuff for free. It will remind you of eBay, but on Listia instead of paying cash, you get your items for free.

You don’t have to bid cash for items, rather you will bid points that you get for free for signing up, listing items and referring friends. That means the winner is the person who wants the item the most and is willing to bid the most points. Moreover, as a lister you don’t have to deal with a lot of emails, and the no-show risk is minimized.
If you have stuff to give away or you just like getting free stuff, there is a promotion at the moment, which will give you 300 credits just for signing up and listing an item.
