BuddyPress - WordPress MU becomes a a social network platform

BuddyPress will transform a vanilla installation of WordPress MU into a social network platform.BuddyPress is a set of WordPress MU specific plugins, each plugin adding a distinct new feature. BuddyPress contains all the features you’d expect from WordPress but aims to let members socially interact.
Today I read some interesting news about Wordpress.. As you can see above BuddyPress is going to trandform Wordpress MU to a social network platform by using a set of plugins. As thayt say they are going to move the main focus of WordPress MU away from blogs, moving it more towards the actual member themselves. I like the idea especially while the members will still be able to blog, interact and have all the blogging features they would normally expect from WordPress ..
I wish I had some more time at the moment to help with this project.. Anyway If you are interested download BuddyPress from SVN
