Save your money — install SP3 and forget about Vista

22 December 2007 134 views No Comment

There is an interesting article on The Digital Home about Microsoft Windows. According to Don Reisinger, all Vista users should upgrade to Windows XP, now that Microsoft has announced the availability of the RC version of Service Pack 3.

Why all Vista users should upgrade to Windows XP

I’m delighted to tell you all that not only is this upgrade substantial and extremely helpful. Believe it or not, this upgrade creates the best Windows experience I have ever used.

Now, as you may be aware, Vista is, well, crap. Sure, SP1 is on the way early next year and the hope is still there that Microsoft may be able to turn it around, but let’s face it — the chances of Vista becoming a wanted OS are dwindling by the minute.

I don’t know if Vista is crap, as I haven’t used them till now, but For sure I believe that XP with SP3 will be much better and stable, at least for a few months. This reminds me of a few years before, when there was much debate on Windows 2000 vs the new, back then, Windows XP. If you want my opinion, stick with Windows XP at the moment and give Vista the time to grow up and show us if it is worth upgrading.
